The Troop 15 (Yea!) boy scout winter camp at Camp Tres Ritos this year was the best and the coldest by far. Once we got there the cold mountain air hit us and we unpacked. We were surprised by the height of the snow, which was to our thigh and it was nearly impossible to walk through. We set up camp and prepared for a cold night. The next morning we defrosted by the fire and got ready to hit the slopes for an exciting day of skiing and snowboarding. After spending hours on the the slopes, we came back and quickly got ready for bed while the wind is quickly kicking up and the snow starts to fall. Some of us started to dig out the snow caves we had built the day before and slept in the snow fortress. The whole night people try to with stand the tough weather. The next day we kicked through the mountains of snow, packed and started our journey home.
