Our April campout was at the Great Salt Plains in Northern Oklahoma. We had lots of fun camping at the Great Salt Plains State Park, and digging for salt (Selenite) crystals on Saturday morning.
There was a contest going on at the Great Salt Plains and we had two Scouts in our troop win for the crystals they found. They were my good friends Will and Elijah. Saturday
afternoon we went back to the camp grounds and cooked and ate, and then played Frisbee and other fun stuff until it started raining. The rain was weird. At one moment it would be clear skies and the next it would be raining –and then clear skies again! It did that for most of the evening. On Sunday morning the rain was gone, and we loaded up and went back home.
Monday night at the Boy Scout meeting, Thomas was awarded the “Camper of the month” for being such a great scout and camper!
