Architecture & Culture Badges

This month's blog is going to be about our most recent merit badge, as well as a few of our field trips that we've taken during meetings. The merit badge we have been working on is architecture. On our most recent campout we toured the Price Tower in Bartlesville. It was very interesting, as it was all about triangles..... oh and it was built like a tree. We also toured a wildlife refuge called Whoolaroc which was pretty cool. There was a petting zoo and a great lodge with a bunch of stuffed animal heads (don't freak out, the animals where either pets or died on site). In a few of our meetings we took field trips to different places in area. One was to Ron Frantz's office in what used to be the Gold Dome Bank. He showed us what he does and had some pictures for us to look at. We also got little gifts like bandanas and other things. At another meeting we went to Bob Eskew's physical therapy office. He and James talked to us about how they remodeled it when Bob first got it. then we looked around and they talked about the A.D.A. which stands for American Disability Act if im not mistaken. The act is about making it easier for disabled people get around in buildings. That is allĀ I have to say for this blog, so until next time!
