Camp Sasakwa

In June we went to Camp Sasakwa, one of the council's most primitive camps with no facilities, water or amenities of any kind. However, Sasakwa does have great hiking trails, a cool cave and a river. Assistant Scoutmaster Dave Thompson led an extensive nature hike, accomplishing requirements for First and Second Class Ranks. The hike culminated with a visit to Sasakwa's cave and then a splashdown in the South Canadian river. The scouts also prepared some incredible meals, all on a campfire. From home-made french fries to from-scratch biscuits, their coal cooking rivaled anything you'd make at home. June Camper of the Month, Hatcher shares more in this video.
