For my last blog as troop scribe, I will be talking about the summer camp that we went on in July to Tres Ritos, New Mexico for about a week. On our way there we stopped and stayed the night in Tucumcari, New Mexico, where we played games and got to taste some of Ryan Parrot's awesome truffles. Then we packed up in the morning and headed out to the camp. When we got there we set up pretty fast, with a few incidents, but it was a pretty good setup. It was amazing how our troop was the only one with everyone in full uniform! The guys did an excellent job getting it
on for every assembly. The older scouts went on a hiking trip that was spectacular. Some of us went up to Jikorita peak, while others went to Rincon Bonito, and others stayed at base camp. We were gone for three days, and the younger guys kept the camp in shape and did an excellent job with their merit badges. Over all, it was the best summer camp I've ever been on. See our summer camp pictures here...
So I guess that's it for me. I wish the new Scribe good luck.
